Joining a road to a roundabout

Draw onto the ring, and the roundabout is rebuilt with your new entry.

Draw your road onto the ring. That's all.

What happens

  1. Wayline finds the roundabout: its circle, its ring pieces and the entries already on it.
  2. It rebuilds the whole roundabout with every entry it had, plus the new one exactly where you clicked.
  3. The new entry's arm turns by up to 55° to point back along your road, so your road meets it as drawn.
  4. Roads that met the old entries meet the new ones. Any road end that moved slightly is joined again.

Nothing is cut into the ring, so it stays perfectly round from entry to entry. It works on plain rings, on pre-made roundabouts and on roundabouts you've joined before.

When it's too close

If the new entry is too close to another one, it moves round by up to 20°. If there's no room nearby, the status bar says how many degrees it needs. Move your road a little further round and try again.

Right of way

The ring keeps priority and joining roads give way, as on UK roundabouts. Check the priorities with V if you've edited them by hand.
