Terms of use
The ground rules for using the website, the editor and Team Create.
These terms cover the Wayline Studio website, the Wayline Studio editor you can download from it, and the Team Create service built into the editor. By using any of them, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use them.
1. Who we are
Wayline Studio is an independent, non-commercial fan project. When these terms say "we" or "us", they mean the people who run the Wayline Studio project. You can contact us at WAYLINE_CONTACT.
2. The software licence comes first
The Wayline Studio editor is free software, licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License, version 3 (AGPL-3.0). Your rights to use, copy, change and share the software come from that licence, and nothing in these terms takes any of them away. See Licence & credits.
3. It's an in-development build
Wayline Studio is still being built. It's provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. It may contain bugs, crash, produce incorrect map data, or behave differently from what's described in the help centre. Keep backups of your work. Read the full disclaimer.
4. OMSI 2 and third-party content
- You need your own legitimately obtained copy of OMSI 2. It isn't included.
- Wayline Studio reads objects, road types and other content from your installation. That content belongs to its authors, under their own terms. You're responsible for respecting those terms, including when you share maps or packs.
- Only import or share models, textures and other assets you made yourself or have permission to use.
5. Team Create
Team Create is a testing service, available by invitation only.
- At your own risk. If you create a team project, you do so at your own risk. Only share invite codes with people you trust: anyone with the code can join and change the project.
- Your account. Keep your password to yourself. During testing there's no password reset, so look after it.
- Acceptable use. Don't use Team Create to store or share anything illegal, harmful, or that infringes someone else's rights. Don't try to break, overload or get round the service's security, or access projects you weren't invited to. Be decent to other people in your projects.
- Availability. Team Create may be changed, paused, reset or withdrawn at any time, with or without notice, and data on it may be lost. It isn't a backup service.
- Suspension. We may suspend or delete accounts or projects that break these terms or put the service or other people at risk.
- Ownership. You keep whatever rights you have in the maps and content you upload. You give us only the permission needed to store, copy and send that content to the members of your project, so the service works.
6. The website
You may browse the website and download the editor for your own use. Please don't try to disrupt the site, or present a copy of it as the official Wayline Studio site.
7. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the website, the editor or Team Create. This includes lost or corrupted maps, projects or other data, and any indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you're a consumer, you keep any statutory rights you have.
8. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If you keep using Wayline Studio after a change, the new terms apply.
9. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, except where the law of your home country gives you the right to bring a claim there.
