Installing Wayline Studio
Download the setup, get past SmartScreen and install without admin rights.
Wayline Studio comes as a single Setup.exe. It installs the editor just for your Windows user, so it never asks for administrator rights.
Install it
- Go to the download page and download the latest setup.
- Run
Wayline-Studio-…-Setup.exe. - If Windows shows "Windows protected your PC", click More info, then Run anyway. The setup isn't code-signed yet, so SmartScreen doesn't recognise it. See Windows protected your PC for details.
- Choose where to install. The default is a folder inside your user profile, which works without admin rights.
- Pick your shortcuts (Start menu and desktop) and click Install.
- Leave Start Wayline Studio now ticked to open it straight away.
Updating
To install a newer build, run its setup the same way. It installs into the same folder and replaces the program. Your projects, maps and settings stay where they are.
Uninstall it
Open Windows Settings → Apps → Installed apps, find Wayline Studio and choose Uninstall. This removes the program, its shortcuts and its entry in the list of apps. Your projects, maps and settings are kept.
