What you need before you start

Windows, OMSI 2 and an internet connection for the satellite tools.

Requirements

  • Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit.
  • OMSI 2, installed. Wayline Studio reads maps, objects and road types from your own OMSI 2 installation. OMSI 2 isn't included and must be bought separately.
  • A graphics card that can run Unity 6 games. If OMSI 2 runs smoothly, the editor will be fine in nearly every case.
  • An internet connection for satellite imagery, terrain heights, road generation from OpenStreetMap and Team Create. Everything else works offline.

This is an in-development build

Wayline Studio is still being built. Expect bugs, unfinished corners and the odd crash. Keep backups of maps you care about. Wayline never edits the original map in place, but it's always wise to keep a copy.

Good to know

  • Your original map stays untouched. Wayline keeps your edits in a project and exports them as a separate map folder. Maps you created in Wayline export back into their own folder.
  • It speaks OMSI. Roads are real OMSI splines, junctions are real OMSI objects with AI paths, and routes are written into the map's timetable (TTData) files.
  • UK-friendly defaults. Roundabouts are clockwise by default, and junctions get UK pavement ramps.
