Saving and exporting to OMSI
Get your work out of the editor and into the game.
Saving
File → Save writes your project. The project holds your edits; the original map folder stays as it was.
Exporting
- Choose File → Export to OMSI….
- Pick a destination. An existing map exports to a separate map folder, so you never overwrite the original. A map you created in Wayline exports back into its own folder.
- Start OMSI 2 and pick your map from the map list.
Sharing your map with others
- Include any objects and road types Wayline made for you. They live under
Sceneryobjects\Mapforge\…andSplines\Mapforge\…in your OMSI folder, along with any generatedWayline-Lanesfiles. - If your map uses third-party scenery, check each author's terms before sharing it. Some creators don't allow their objects to be redistributed.
Note
Satellite pictures and reference images you laid over the tiles stay in your project. They're never exported into the OMSI map.
